We are a leading provider of web related services, and the 'boss' (that's me - Darryl, although Michelle might disagree!) has over 10 years of web-industry experience and 28 years in IT overall.
We can handle anything from small brochure-style websites through to complex eCommerce websites and even Rich Internet Applications (RIAs).
But coding the actual website is only part of the solution, and a relatively trivial part at that, just ask the thousands of people who'll gladly do it for you for a few hundred dollars.
Instead, we provide a complete beginning-to-end service that covers aspects like...
- Market Evaluation: How much competition will you have? Who are they? Is the online market you're planning to enter very profitable? Is there a viable opening for you? What sort of return on your investment can you expect? If I can't see things being profitable, or at least valuable, for you then I'll be honest and let you know before you've spent a lot of money.
- Graphic Design: Design fashions are changing constantly and quickly (see "Why I'm not proud of what we did" in the next column) and we're always reviewing our style, but in the end it's what you like that's important. That's why I'll spend time with you asking lots of crazy questions like "So, what's your favourite colour?"
- Standards Compliant Website Design: Complying with the W3C's standards has 4 great benefits: your web pages will load faster; the search engines will like you better; the visually impaired will be better able to peruse your website; and it'll be much easier to later create a mobile-compatible version of your website if you should ever so wish.
- Dynamic and Interactive Content: If you need anything more elaborate than a simple brochure-style website then this is for you. By writing behind-the-scenes software and coupling it with a server-based database, your website can do anything you can imagine. This is the basis of eCommerce websites, as well as blogs, social websites such as FaceBook and MySpace, and all other "Web 2.0" websites.
- Search Engine Optimisation: If you've searched in Google for your competition then you'll have probably found that there are often millions of pages in their database for your keyword selection, so getting on the first page obviously isn't going to be easy. While I won't guarantee you a front page listing (that would be foolish, though we do usually get decent results), we will use all of the latest SEO techniques to identify your best keywords and then optimise your website and other external factors to get a good outcome.
- Web Marketing: Just like a regular bricks and mortar business, your new website will just sit idle if nobody knows about it. We'll not only help get your online marketing program started so that your target audience gets to know about you, but we'll also give you full ongoing support whenever you need it.
- 100% Guarantee: If you genuinely don't think that our work in any area is up to the standard that you expected, then I'll fully refund any money paid in relation to your complaint.

Why I'm not proud of what we did...
Because we are continually refining our techniques, skills and knowledge, I often look back at the work we did even only 6 months ago and feel somewhat "embarrassed by the quality" compared to what we are currently producing.
Of course, it's not really "poor quality work", and our clients are still very satisfied with their websites (as they should be), it's just that I'm a perfectionist and I find that we've grown so much in that short time that the work seems a bit "ordinary" by my latest standards.
That's why I haven't put up a full portfolio of our work here - just a couple of samples of recent creations.
A couple of our latest projects...
lunchfast.com.au
This unique eCommerce website enables the 300,000+ hungry people who work in the Sydney CBD every day to quickly and easily search for and pre-order their lunch from a wide range of quality restaurants.
murraygardens.com.au
We went for native Australian colours for this stylish website to compliment the Aussie bush surrounds of the hotel and cottages.
Actually, Michelle and I argued a lot over the design of the banner graphic, but in the end this was good as we ended up with something much better than either of us had initially imagined. |
